Alcohol Screening

Wednesday, October 24, 2012 - 11:00am to 1:00pm

We are having our first Alcohol Screening of the Fall semester. We will be looking for around 10 volunteers. This is a great opportunity to get involved in a campus event and help raise awareness on campus about issues surrounding alcohol use and emotional well-being. Also, it is an excellent addition to your resume. For anyone planning on applying to graduate psychology or counseling programs, this is something that can help separate yourself from other students. In exchange for your volunteer efforts, Dr. Schwartz will be meeting with the volunteers at 10am on that day to do a brief training (at the Counseling Center in the Graham Health Center Building). He will teach the volunteers how to screen, score, and interpret the instrument. You will also learn how to use our "virtual bar" program and our "beer goggles". He will also be available to answer any questions you may have about graduate school and working in the field. The first 10 students who respond to my email will be selected. He can be reached at schwart3@oakland,edu. Thanks!
