A Research Colloquium with Dr. Edward Orehek

Psi Chi proudly welcomes Dr. Edward Orehek, a Social Psychologist from the University of Pittsburgh for a Research Colloquium, "Interdependent Self-Construals Mitigate the Fear of Death and Augment the Willingness to Become a Martyr."  Dr. Orehek's research investigates the intersection of cognitive and motivational factors as they influence human judgment, decision-making, and behavior.  The aim of this research program is to integrate cognitive and motivational accounts into a single comprehensive framework, while also exploring the implications of the framework for interpersonal relations, well-being, and health.  Don't miss out on this special presentation, join us Monday, March 31, 2014 from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM in Lake Superior Room B of the Oakland Center.  Food and beverages will be provided and this event is free and open to all Oakland University students.
